Stabbing incident between two groups in İzmir's Karabağlar: 15-year-old child critically injured

A 15-year-old identified as Mehmet D. was critically injured in a stabbing incident between two groups in the Karabağlar district of İzmir. During the fight, 16-year-old H.D. was also stabbed in the hand.

The incident occurred in the evening hours on 3091 Street in the Bozyaka neighborhood. According to allegations, an argument that began between two groups behind the Bozyaka Covered Marketplace quickly escalated into a knife fight.

Police and medical teams were dispatched to the area for Mehmet D., who was stabbed in the heart, and H.D., who was injured in the hand. Following initial intervention, the injured were transported by ambulance to the İzmir Atatürk Training and Research Hospital.

It was learned that Mehmet D., whose heart had stopped at the hospital, was resuscitated by doctors and subsequently taken into surgery. It was reported that the child's treatment is ongoing.

It was stated that H.D., who was injured in the hand, will have his statement taken following his treatment. Police teams have detained 4 suspects identified as being involved in the fight. The investigation into the incident continues.
