Suicide attempt on the 15 July Martyrs Bridge
A person climbed onto the 15 July Martyrs Bridge and attempted suicide.
The incident occurred around 17:00 on the 15 July Martyrs Bridge in the direction of Edirne. Allegedly, an individual with psychological issues stopped their vehicle on the bridge and attempted to jump.
Other drivers passing by the bridge notified the police teams.
Upon notification of the situation, fire, police, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
The teams arriving at the scene tried to persuade the individual, who wanted to jump, for approximately half an hour.
As a result of the teams' prolonged efforts, the individual was persuaded and taken to the police station. The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
