It has been determined that a fire that broke out at night in a garage in the Serik district of Antalya was the result of arson. Flames rising from a car parked in the garage belonging to Fatma Demir quickly spread to the 3-story building where the garage was located.
Neighborhood residents who noticed the fire panicked and rushed outside, while fire and police teams were dispatched to the address upon notification. The fire was brought under control following the intervention of the teams.

The car in the garage was completely burned and rendered unusable in the fire. While the exterior of the 3-story building was damaged by the heat of the flames, it was stated that the kitchen section on the first floor of the building was also damaged by the fire.

Investigations revealed that the fire was not accidental but was caused by arson. According to security camera footage, an unidentified person arrived in front of the garage on a motorcycle, having covered themselves with a black trash bag to avoid being recognized.

The footage shows flames rising after the suspect stopped at the garage door, and the same person then fleeing the area on the motorcycle. Police teams are continuing their work regarding the incident.
