Exodus continues at Halk TV! Another name has resigned

The wave of resignations that began at Halk TV in recent weeks continues to grow. The channel's experienced news anchor, Remziye Demirkol, announced to the public today via her social media account that she has left her position.

Thus, Demirkol has become the latest name to resign, following Seda Selek, Sorel Dağıstanlı, Buket Güler, and Gözde Şeker, who recently parted ways with the channel.

Remziye Demirkol shared her farewell message on her own social media platform, stating, "I submitted my resignation this morning..."

When closing the broadcast, I said see you on Monday, unfortunately I will not be able to keep this promise, let me bid my farewell here, I submitted my resignation as of this morning... I would like to thank all my colleagues working at Halk TV for their efforts and friendships, and of course to you as well...

The first notable departure at Halk TV began with the resignation of Seda Selek on April 30. Selek shared her decision with viewers on the program she hosted, 'Neden-Sonuç' (Cause-Effect), saying, "Know that I have extremely valid reasons."

Following the process after Seda Selek's departure, Sorel Dağıstanlı also announced his resignation from the channel on May 8. Dağıstanlı shared this decision on his social media account with the words, "I have left Halk TV, where I have been working for 5 years. The reason is the social media post I made some time ago regarding the departure of my friend Seda Selek."

Within the same week, another news of departure came from Buket Güler. Emphasizing professional solidarity, Güler announced that she was leaving her post with the words, "In this process; I am in solidarity with all my colleagues, whether they have left or stayed, who protect the dignity of our profession under all circumstances."

Following Buket Güler, Gözde Şeker, one of the well-known faces on screen, also announced that she would be saying goodbye. While presenting her final news bulletin, Şeker declared her departure by telling viewers, "Tomorrow will be my last broadcast on Halk TV."
