A bombshell claim from Murat Ağırel! Million-lira payment to Akit TV from a figure in the IMM case

REACTIONS TO YENİ AKİT'S ALLEGATIONS ARE MOUNTING

In the report titled "The Nightingales of Saraçhane" by Yeni Akit, journalists alleged to have a direct financial relationship with the CHP management included Cumhuriyet Newspaper Ankara Representative Sertaç Eş and Cumhuriyet columnist Murat Ağırel. Furthermore, journalists such as Özlem Akarsu Çelik, Gülşah İnce, and Hilmi Hacaloğlu also reacted sharply to their names being included in the reports.

In a statement made via social media, Özlem Akarsu Çelik said, "The rag called AKİT has targeted many journalists with an undocumented allegation. It claimed that I was among the 'journalists who receive money from the CHP.' I will sue these slanderers and use the money I win to buy food for stray animals. They have fallen into the folly of thinking I am someone who would jump at any opportunity like they would. The thing they fear most is paying money. Let me get my compensation and let the bellies of the stray souls be filled with joy??"

Gülşah İnce stated, "They don't even deserve a single click, so I cannot bring myself to share the lies of slanderers with you. People judge others by their own standards; I am filing a lawsuit against them."

Hilmi Hacaloğlu reacted with the following post: "The issue is not that Akit wrote this story. They have produced similar reports with a targeting/manipulative tone until today. Therefore, it has no value for anyone. But the issue is those who facilitate this defamation, this lie. This is what we point to when we ask who is with whom. It's a pity!"

MURAT AĞIREL RESPONDS WITH A "SPONSORSHIP" DOCUMENT

Another name on the list, Murat Ağırel, responded to the allegations with an intriguing document and called on Yeni Akit to provide an explanation. Ağırel alleged that a substantial sponsorship payment was made to AKİT by the company of Murat Gülibrahimoğlu, who testified under the "effective remorse" provision in the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) case, just before the elections, and shared an example of the e-invoice.

Ağırel's remarks, which he shared on his social media account regarding the matter, drew attention:

For what sponsorship did you receive 5 million 700 thousand TL just 2 months before the elections from the company of Murat Gülibrahimoğlu, who is alleged to have laundered money from fake invoices and illegal dumping in the IMM case, and who benefited from effective remorse?

In the e-invoice dated 30.01.2024, it is clearly seen that a payment of 5 million 700 thousand TL was made to AKİT TV by 'Kuzey İstanbul Modern İnşaat A.Ş.' with the description 'AKİT TV SPONSORSHIP SERVICE'.

Since such a large sponsorship agreement was made; For which program? For which organization? In exchange for which broadcast? Explain it to the public."
