AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik targets Özgür Özel! 'He is being disrespectful to the TSK'

Reacting to CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, AKP Spokesperson and Deputy Chairman Ömer Çelik stated, "Özgür Özel has disrespectfully targeted the command staff of the Turkish Armed Forces." Çelik added, "CHP officials should show respect for their own political history and confront the words of their own chairman. Instead, they are attempting to criticize the words of our President."

Making statements on his social media account, AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik used the following expressions:

"CHP Chairman Özgür Özel has disrespectfully targeted the command staff of the Turkish Armed Forces. Our President, as the Commander-in-Chief of the Turkish Armed Forces, has also expressed in the clearest way that he will never allow this disrespect.

CHP officials should show respect for their own political history and confront the words of their own chairman. Instead, they are attempting to criticize the words of our President. This situation shows that the 'political literacy' problem among CHP officials has become chronic.

If the CHP Chairman wants to align his own name with the language used by some foreign politicians hostile to Turkey who target our heroic soldiers, that is his own business. It is clear that our President, as always, will never allow any shadow to be cast upon the TSK."
