Akşener responds to Erdoğan's alliance call: 'Let politics normalize'

İYİ Party Chair Meral Akşener responded to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's call for an alliance via her social media account. Akşener gave the following reply to Erdoğan:

"The polarization deepened by alliance politics is harming our country, Mr. Erdoğan. Come, you too should enter the election with your own candidates in all 81 provinces, just like us. Let Turkish politics normalize, and let our nation be the winner."

WHAT DID ERDOĞAN SAY?

Erdoğan had answered questions from members of the press regarding the agenda while leaving Parliament following the AK Party's parliamentary group meeting.

"Is it possible for new parties to join the People's Alliance? You made a call; was this directed at the İYİ Party?" In response to this question, Erdoğan stated, "Our door is open to everyone who wants to join. It could also be the İYİ Party. The others are already clear in the People's Alliance. The stronger the participation, the more beneficial it will be for the interests of our country."
