Call to reopen the Sinan Ateş case

Saadet Party Chairman Mahmut Arıkan made important statements regarding the agenda at an event organized by the party's Kağıthane district branch in Istanbul. Arıkan stated that the Sinan Ateş murder should be handled with the same great sensitivity as the Gülistan Doku case. Stating that "if difficult files are overlooked, it reveals that justice is not sincere," Arıkan expressed that this case should be reopened in the coming period.

Saadet Party Chairman Arıkan noted that the sensitivity shown in the Gülistan Doku murder case was an important step. However, he expressed that the same sensitivity should also be shown for the Sinan Ateş murder. Arıkan underlined that the murder of Sinan Ateş should not be left unresolved and used the expressions, "This file must also be opened, and justice must be served as soon as possible."

PROMISE OF RADICAL CHANGES

Arıkan said that if the Saadet Party comes to power, they will make radical changes in state administration. Arıkan said, "Partisan staffing will end. We will review the major tenders awarded in the last 7-8 years." Stating that they will take a series of measures to fight corruption, Arıkan announced, "We will establish an independent ministry to fight corruption." He also added that the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) will be restructured.

A NEW MINISTRY TO FIGHT CORRUPTION

Arıkan said that the Saadet Party will establish a strong structure to fight corruption. Stating that an independent ministry should be established, Arıkan said, "We will take strong steps in every field to fight corruption." He also emphasized that RTÜK needs to be restructured.

Arıkan also made statements regarding the reliability of the data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK). Stating that they will make it mandatory for TÜİK personnel to go to the market every week, Arıkan said, "We must be more sensitive to the public's complaints regarding the cost of living."

WHITE BELT PROJECT

Arıkan made a striking proposal regarding Turkey's foreign policy. Stating that they plan to implement the "White Belt Project," Arıkan announced that this project will cover Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, and Iran. Arıkan said that this non-aggression pact would change the balance of power in the region and hinder the plans of the US and Israel.

REACTION TO THE US AMBASSADOR

Arıkan also reacted sharply to the statements made by the US Ambassador to Ankara, Tom Barrack, regarding the region. Criticizing Barrack's statements about developments in Turkey and the region, Arıkan also criticized the government for remaining silent on this issue.
