Elections have been cancelled in the Halfeti district of Şanlıurfa. The DEM Party candidate had won the local elections held on March 31, 2024; the election will be repeated following an objection by the AKP.

DEM Party candidate had won: Elections cancelled in Halfeti, Şanlıurfa

The DEM Party's victory in Halfeti, Şanlıurfa, will be followed by a repeat election after an objection by the AKP.

In the local elections held on March 31, DEM Party candidate Mehmet Karayılan received 39.45 percent of the votes, while AKP candidate Şeref Albayrak received 34.97 percent.

The vote margin between Karayılan and Albayrak was announced as 906.
