DEM Party responds to claims that 'Öcalan sent greetings to Özgür Özel'! 'Intended to provoke the process...'

The DEM Party Imralı Delegation has issued a written statement regarding texts that have been circulating on social media in recent days under the guise of "meeting notes" and "minutes," attributed to PKK terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Some texts shared on social media claimed that terrorist leader Öcalan made assessments regarding various political figures and had "sent greetings" to CHP Chairman Özgür Özel. The delegation issued a warning to the public regarding the source and content of these posts.

The statement noted that additions and subtractions were made to texts with unclear contexts and foundations, and that certain expressions regarding individuals were seen to have been inserted into these texts. 

The statement issued by the DEM Party Imralı Delegation is as follows:

"Once again in recent days, some texts have been circulated on social media under the names of "meeting notes" and "minutes," attributed to Mr. Abdullah Öcalan.

Additions and subtractions are being made to the texts shared under the name of "meeting notes" while leaving their context and basis unclear, and it is observed that certain expressions regarding individuals are once again being inserted. In some other texts shared under the name of "minutes," claims are being put forward that are intended to mislead the public and provoke the process.

We clearly state that we evaluate these attempts as a dangerous activity aimed directly at sabotaging Mr. Öcalan and the process, which has reached an important threshold, and that this is unacceptable under any circumstances.

We would like to emphasize once again that no document, note, or information that does not come from the Imralı Delegation or from the family and lawyers who meet with Mr. Öcalan, and which does not rely on an official basis, should be given any credence.
