DEVA Party Gaziantep MP Ertuğrul Kaya has announced his resignation from his party. In a statement shared on his social media account, Kaya cited differences of opinion as the reason for his decision to leave.
When asked whether he would join another party following his resignation, Kaya told the ANKA News Agency that he would clarify his decision after consulting with his constituents in Gaziantep. Kaya stated, "I am the MP for Gaziantep. I will hold consultations with my fellow citizens; they will decide this. I will follow the path determined by my fellow citizens."

Regarding a question on whether he had left the New Path Group, Kaya replied, "The components there are different. Our friends in the New Path Group will make a statement if they deem it necessary."
It is reported that Kaya will remain in the New Path Group for some time longer to ensure the group maintains its presence in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM). The number of MPs in the New Path Group is currently at 20, which is the minimum threshold required to form a parliamentary group.
Previously, following Kani Torun's departure from the New Path Group on August 31, Konya MP Ali Yüksel had joined the New Path Group upon the initiative of the New Welfare Party (Yeniden Refah Partisi) to prevent the group from falling below the threshold.
