Gürsel Tekin's 'The seal is with us' statement

Gürsel Tekin, who was appointed as the trustee to the CHP Istanbul Provincial Presidency, spoke to T24 and made harsh statements regarding the current agenda. Tekin directed sharp criticisms particularly at Istanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik and CHP Deputy Chairman Özgür Özel.

"THE SEAL IS WITH US"

Responding to the statements made by Özgür Çelik regarding the certificates of election received from the Supreme Election Council (YSK), Tekin gave a stern reply, saying, "The seal is with us. If that's the case, then complain to the YSK that gave them to us." Tekin pointed to the validity of the documents and decisions in question, stating, "Look, the decision book is in my hands. The seal is with us. These friends don't even have a decision book. Our pursuit here is not to sit and create problems, but to solve them. Then take the election board that gave me these to court."

Touching upon his past in the CHP, Tekin stated that he had defended the party for many years with his labor and sweat. Continuing his criticisms, he said, "I have become a Republican People's Party member by struggling with my labor and sweat since my time in the youth branches. I know how our current executive friends became CHP members." Tekin used the expression, "They cannot understand me. Only people like me can understand me."

Tekin also directed harsh criticisms at CHP Deputy Chairman Özgür Özel. Stating that he had written letters to Özel multiple times and requested a meeting but received no response, Tekin said, "Show us the same courtesy you showed Mr. Bülent Arınç, let's meet for 10 minutes." Claiming that Özel ignored him, Tekin stated, "I wonder if Özel has a concern about my personality? Why don't you meet with me? Am I not as valuable to him as Mr. Arınç?"

"DREW ATTENTION TO HIS RELATIONS WITH AKP MEMBERS"

Tekin also drew attention to the relationships Özgür Özel established with AKP figures, criticizing Özel's approach by saying, "You sit and are intimate with the Speaker of the Parliament, you talk. You meet with many AKP and MHP executives. You used to call me 'brother.' Why didn't you look me in the eye and say 'you are doing it wrong'?"
