Following this development, it was alleged that Tekbıyıkoğlu submitted a petition to the Ministry of Interior requesting to be reassigned to the Central Governor's Office and appointed as a Chief Civil Inspector.

According to a report by NOW TV, the Ministry of Interior accepted Tunceli Governor Bülent Tekbıyıkoğlu's request and reassigned him to the Central Governor's Office.

According to the statement made by the Ministry of Interior, the following was stated: "Tunceli Governor Mr. Bülent Tekbıyıkoğlu has been placed at the disposal of the Ministry of Interior. Deputy Governor Mr. Ertuğrul Aslan has been appointed as the acting Tunceli Governor. Respectfully announced to the public."
