He had targeted those criticizing the credit card tax: New statement from BBP leader Destici
BBP Chairman Mustafa Destici, who supported the Defense Industry Fund proposal—also known as the credit card tax—submitted to Parliament under the signature of AKP Group Chairman Abdullah Güler, and who had targeted those criticizing the proposal, has made a new statement.
AKP Group Chairman Abdullah Güler, who submitted the Defense Industry Fund proposal to Parliament, was supported by BBP leader Mustafa Destici, who had said, "Those using credit cards with a limit over 100 thousand liras will contribute 750 liras to the state for the defense industry. Give it, my brother; if you don't, your end will be like Syria." Destici had also used the expressions, "This nation and state do not need the money of those who think like him. Let him go buy a large bottle of rakı with that 750 liras and continue to get drunk."
HE WILL TAKE IT TO THE JUDICIARY
Making a new statement following the criticism, Destici stated that his comments were distorted and that he would take this situation to the judiciary.
Destici said, "What are they saying? 'He called us Armenian, he called us DEM-affiliated, he called us Greek.' I have no such statement. But if they find these labels fitting for themselves, I have nothing to say to that; that is their own choice."
