İmamoğlu shares 'chronology of bans'
Imprisoned presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu recounted the decisions taken against him, including those regarding his book, in chronological order on his social media accounts.
Imprisoned presidential candidate and Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Ekrem İmamoğlu brought the decisions taken against him over the last year and a half to the agenda in a post on his social media account. İmamoğlu captioned the video he shared as "Chronology of bans."
In the video, the decisions regarding the accounts used on behalf of the Presidential Candidate Office were listed chronologically, starting with the access ban imposed on İmamoğlu's personal X account on April 24, 2025. The post also recalled that an access ban was imposed on İmamoğlu's YouTube channel and the Candidate Office's X account on July 16, 2026.
The chronology prepared by İmamoğlu included not only social media accounts but also decisions regarding the use of his photograph and voice. The video also recalled the controversies surrounding his defense in court and the confiscation order issued for his book "Millet Şahidimdir" (The Nation is My Witness), in which his defense was published.
My social media account is banned! My photograph is banned! My voice is banned! Making a defense is banned! Publishing a book is banned! A chronology of bans...
The post brought together topics ranging from the cancellation of İmamoğlu's university diploma to access bans on social media accounts, and the defense process and book confiscation order, all on a single timeline.
