Özgür Özel announced his metropolitan target on live broadcast: Pointed to 5 cities!

CHP leader Özgür Özel made evaluations regarding the political agenda 3 days before the local elections.

Being a guest of İsmail Küçükkaya, Özel made the following evaluations:  

"WE CONDUCTED 330 THOUSAND SURVEYS"

“We actually wouldn't have preferred it; rather than managing the March 31 elections, we were aspiring to a period where we could make structural changes that would last for a few years after April 1, while talking about change and transformation. But we had a party congress before the local elections, we had discussed the findings regarding that at the time, and once this congress was successful and we came to power, we immediately found ourselves in a local election calendar. We put a lot of effort into measuring and evaluating. We conducted 330 thousand unique surveys. 

We asked questions to 330 thousand citizens and received answers while the candidates were being determined, and after the candidates were determined, we discussed the performance of the candidates and the progress in the provinces with nearly 200 thousand surveys, and we determined our election calendar with flexible programs accordingly. We had sent our deputies to all provinces. We implemented a special application for Istanbul and Ankara. Our deputies went at least twice.

11+5 TARGET

It is possible to protect all 11 metropolitan municipalities and add 5 more metropolitan municipalities on top of that. For one thing, I wouldn't be surprised if we won all four of Bursa, Balıkesir, Manisa, and Denizli; I believe we will win three of them. We will win at least two. We have a candidate in Adıyaman whom we nominated by force, Abdurrahman Tutdere; whoever we sent there, 10 of our deputy friends were on duty that night of the disaster, they came and said let's make Abdurrahman the candidate. We did it in Adıyaman without looking at any surveys. I was optimistic, but we have gone beyond our expectations. We will win Giresun, Sinop, and the center of Trabzon. We will win Afyon and Uşak side by side. Kütahya also has a very high potential for a surprise.

"MARGIN" EVALUATION FOR İMAMOĞLU

Every survey came out better than the previous one for Mayor Ekrem. When that happened, the trend was always upward. I won't say anything ambitious, but let me say this: you know, he was treated unfairly and there was a second election, I expect him to increase the margin from the second election.

"4TH DRILL WILL BE CONDUCTED"

We are ready for this; we have made a very different preparation throughout Turkey. Suppose an election took place in Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir, and we are neck and neck in Malatya and the counting is prolonged, the 10 friends who will go to Malatya are already determined. Preparations have been made for everywhere. If a similar situation occurs for Istanbul, everyone except those who need to go to other provinces will come to Istanbul. Our emergency response squad is ready for where the crisis arises. The citizen's vote is a matter of honor; it is entrusted to us after they cast it into the ballot box. As CHP, we have done everything that falls upon us regarding ballot box security. We are at such an advanced point that we will conduct our 4th drill this evening. I want to make a call from here: all our officials are ready, an army is ready, but we invite every citizen who says 'my mind is not at ease, I want to protect the ballot box' to go to the district offices and get their observer cards. Also, one extra lawyer, 10 extra lawyers, will not harm anyone."
