As debates regarding the fund investigation continue, YENİ Party Chairman Özgür Özel announced that there is information suggesting an incumbent minister earned 170 million lira through fund transactions. Özel stated that the claim in question has not yet been verified, and that if it is confirmed, the name will be shared with the public.
Özel argued that beyond the names already reflected in the public eye regarding the fund crisis, other connections are also on the agenda. Stating that the name of an active minister has been circulating for a long time, Özel said, "Information regarding the name of an active minister has been circulating for a long time. We are working on verifying it. Once we verify it, our party spokesperson will share it as well."
IF THE NAME IS VERIFIED, IT WILL BE ANNOUNCED
Evaluating the emergence of different names within the scope of the fund investigation, Özel claimed that some information is being leaked specifically to focus on certain individuals. Touching upon the mention of Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya, Özel alleged that information is being leaked from the Ministry of Justice to the opposition.
Emphasizing that they do not share information that reaches them without verification, Özel stated, "Names are flying around. Especially names leaked from the Ministry of Justice, leaked towards us and the opposition, are flying around."
Stating that names they previously announced to the public, such as Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya and Ertan Aydın, were also brought to the agenda after a verification process, Özel said that claims whose accuracy has not been confirmed should not be shared.
Özel also drew attention to some companies and stock movements alleged to be linked to the fund transactions. Arguing that transactions were carried out through a company in which a fund management company holds a 33 percent stake, Özel claimed that the share in question was sold to investors after being inflated to 200 lira.
