In a statement on its social media account, the SOL Party reacted to the "My Family is Safe" operation targeting LGBTI+ rights defenders and associations, as well as operations targeting members of various political parties.
In its statement, the party argued that the detentions are part of "reactionary attacks" and emphasized that identity, sexual orientation, and thought cannot be considered crimes.
"Until we save our country from this reactionary fascism, none of us are 'safe.' Either we will all be saved together, or none of us will."
The statement claimed that the government is trying to silence different segments of society by isolating them. The SOL Party stated, "We call for looking out for one another, growing solidarity, and strengthening our unity."
The party called for the immediate release of those detained as part of the operations.
