It has been reported that Çankaya Mayor Hüseyin Can Güner was removed from his post by the Ministry of Interior following his arrest this morning as part of an investigation conducted in Ankara.
In a statement issued by the Ministry, it was stated that Güner was arrested within the scope of an investigation into allegations of "establishing an organization for the purpose of committing crimes, bribery, and rigging tenders of public institutions and organizations," and that his mayoral duties have been temporarily suspended as a precautionary measure.
