Entry to forest areas banned in that province

The rising risk of forest fires across Turkey has prompted authorities in Şanlıurfa to take action. In a statement, the Şanlıurfa Governor's Office announced that entry into forest areas in the city has been prohibited.

Furthermore, it was stated that picnics involving fire in recreational areas near forests and wooded areas will not be permitted until October 31, 2025.

Within this scope, the use of equipment that operates with fire, such as barbecues and samovars, is also included in the bans. The Governor's Office stated that inspections will be increased to ensure these bans are effectively implemented. The Gendarmerie, Police, Forest Protection Units, and Municipal Police will regularly check for compliance with the bans.
