Apple to collaborate with Google for Siri

Apple is preparing for a significant collaboration with Google to enhance the capabilities of its voice assistant, Siri. The company aims to make Siri more powerful by utilizing Google's advanced artificial intelligence model, Gemini. Under this agreement, Apple will pay Google $1 billion annually.

INNOVATIONS WITH GOOGLE'S GEMINI MODEL

By gaining access to Google's 1.2 trillion-parameter Gemini model, Apple will use a more complex and powerful AI infrastructure compared to Siri's current system. This model will support Siri in synthesizing information and decision-making processes. However, some core Siri features will continue to operate using Apple's own models.

To protect user privacy, Apple will run Google's model on its own servers. In this way, user data will be completely isolated from Google's infrastructure. The revamped Siri is planned to be released in the coming spring months.
