Brand new features arrive for ChatGPT: Here are all the details

OpenAI has added remarkable updates to its popular AI tool, ChatGPT, specifically for the business world. With these new features, ChatGPT is transforming from a simple chat assistant into a versatile productivity solution capable of working on corporate documents, summarizing meetings, and preparing detailed research reports. 

Key updates include compatibility with cloud-based storage services, the ability to record and summarize meetings, support for the Model Context Protocol (MCP) which enables integration with custom systems, and "Deep Research" connectors.

CHATGPT CAN NOW CONNECT TO MORE SOURCES

According to OpenAI, ChatGPT can now work in direct integration with popular cloud platforms such as Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Box, and SharePoint. Thanks to this integration, users can search through their corporate documents via ChatGPT to obtain faster and context-aware information. For example, an investment analyst can develop investment theses by utilizing presentations and reports stored in the company's Drive, while a marketing manager can receive strategic recommendations based on documents from previous campaigns.

OpenAI specifically notes that these integrations work in compliance with corporate internal access control systems and that users can only access content they are authorized to view.

Plus and Pro users (in regions outside the European Economic Area, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom) as well as Team, Enterprise, and Edu account holders can access various sources including Google Drive, Gmail, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and Linear as part of the Deep Research feature.

In addition, SharePoint, Dropbox, and Box integrations are available exclusively for Team, Enterprise, and Edu users.

Thanks to the new "Record Mode" feature added to ChatGPT, users can now record meetings, conversations, or voice notes and automatically transcribe them into text. The system turns the recordings into timestamped notes, highlights key information, and identifies action items to be followed up on, presenting them to the user.

This generated content can be transferred directly to Canvas, the tool OpenAI developed specifically for writing and coding projects. This allows meeting notes to be converted into to-do lists, project plans, or code drafts with a single click.

Another notable innovation announced by OpenAI is the "Deep Research" connectors. With this feature, users can create comprehensive research reports by combining internal corporate data with web sources. Popular platforms that work integrated include HubSpot, Linear, Gmail, Google Drive, Outlook, and Teams.

Furthermore, OpenAI offers special integration options for large-scale organizations. Thanks to MCP (Model Context Protocol) support, companies can integrate ChatGPT into their own internal systems or custom applications, allowing for more secure and needs-specific analyses. This is a significant step for organizations that prioritize data security and integrity.
