Detailed image of Uranus's rings released

NASA continues to share many images captured from space by the James Webb Telescope. This time, the image comes from Uranus. Having conducted observations of Uranus, James Webb has recorded the planet with details never seen before.

Specifically revealing Uranus's ice-covered structure, James Webb has provided a detailed portrait of the rings located in its inner and outer regions.

In addition to its rings, some of the planet's 27 natural moons can also be distinguished.

Uranus's color and texture were first revealed in the 1980s by Voyager 2. Classified as an aquamarine-colored and smooth sphere, Uranus will approach its solstice in 2028, at which point its axis will point toward the Sun.
