iPad Pro with M5 chip, new MacBook, and more from Apple
Apple is preparing to introduce the M5-chipped iPad Pro and Vision Pro, as well as updates to the new MacBook Pro, HomePod mini, Apple TV, and AirTag, via an online launch this week. The tech giant's extensive product roadmap extending through 2026 is also becoming clearer.
Following the iPhone launch in September, Apple is now preparing for a quiet launch. According to Bloomberg technology reporter Mark Gurman, the company will announce a series of new products this week via an online event.
NEW PRODUCTS WITH M5 CHIP
In his Power On newsletter, Gurman stated that Apple will use the M5 chip in at least two of its new devices. These models are expected to be the new iPad Pro and Vision Pro. Gurman emphasized that this announcement could happen "at any moment."
MACBOOK PRO SURPRISE
It is also stated that a new MacBook Pro model could be introduced at the event. However, it is noted that this model will only be released with the base M5 chip version, while the more powerful M5 Pro and M5 Max versions are planned to be offered to users in early 2026.
PLANS FOR OTHER PRODUCTS CONTINUE
Gurman said that no major innovations are expected this week for other Apple products that do not feature the M5 chip. However, he noted that updates for the HomePod mini, Apple TV, and AirTag models are still planned to be announced before the end of the year.
APPLE'S ROADMAP IS EXPANDING
Looking ahead, the tech giant is also continuing its work on a new iPad with an A18 chip, an iPad Air with an M4 chip, two new external Mac monitors, and the iPhone 17e model, which is planned to be introduced in the first half of 2026.
