New game coming for the 46-year-old Atari 2600 game console

The Atari 2600, perhaps one of the most popular among game consoles, entered our lives in 1977. The game console was supported and sold until 1992, after which it was pulled from the market by Atari.

$60 ON PRE-ORDER

Save Mary, which was produced in a limited run of only 500 units and took 2 years to develop, will be sold for $60 via pre-order. Developed by Tod Frye, the creator of the Pac-Man and Swordquest series, the game comes on a cartridge, as you might expect.

Those who pre-order will receive the game in a silver collector's box.

This news comes ahead of the release of the refreshed game console called the Atari 2600+. The refreshed console is set to go on sale in the coming months.
