Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır announced that the results of theÜTÜBİTAK International Leading Researchers Program and the International Youngç Researchers Program have beençannounced.çAccording to the announcement made by Kacır on his social media account,öa total of 75 leading and youngüresearchers, 49 of whom are üTurkish citizens,ç have been granted support to conduct their projects inüTurkey.üüç

In his post, Minister Kacır emphasized a "reverse brain drain," stating that the researchers will contribute to Turkey's science and R&D infrastructure. It was noted that the individuals who received support have gained experience at the world's leading universities, such asöçüHarvard, Stanford, and Oxford.üü ö ü

It was reported that the researchers coming toüTurkey have conducted work at institutions ranked at the top of the QS and Times Higher Educationüworld üuniversity rankings, at companies included in the European Commission Joint Research Centre's "Top 2500 Companies with the Highest R&D Spending in the World" list, and at prestigious centers in the Scimago Institutions Rankings. üü Ç çüüüü

WHAT IS IN THE SUPPORT PACKAGE

Within the scope of the program, researchers aiming to conductüpioneering öü scientific research inüTurkeyüwill be provided with a living allowance, family living allowance, health insurance, and travel support. Additionally, a startupç package ögrant, research support, scholarships for personnel to be involved in the project team, project incentive bonuses, and institutional share support for host institutions will be provided.öç

Leading researchers who have previously come to öTurkeyüthrough the same programs and started their work will also offer mentorship support to the new researchers. çö
