In a written statement from the Real Madrid club, it was announced that Mbappe, who left the game due to injury during yesterday's match against Alaves in the 7th week of La Liga, underwent a medical examination this morning and was diagnosed with an injury to the biceps femoris muscle in his left leg.
While the Spanish club did not provide a timeline for the French footballer's injury, the Spanish press reported that Mbappe, who will miss the Madrid derby against Atletico Madrid this weekend, will be sidelined for 3 weeks.
Kylian Mbappe had asked to be substituted in the 80th minute of the 3-2 victory against Alaves due to the injury, and head coach Carlo Ancelotti brought Arda Güler into the game in his place.
