Beşiktaş calls on the TFF once again: 'Disclose it to the public'
Following the recent Galatasaray derby, Beşiktaş Club has reiterated its demand for the Turkish Football Federation to share the VAR room recordings.
As debates regarding referee decisions and Video Assistant Referee (VAR) practices continue following the critical Süper Lig match played against Galatasaray, the Beşiktaş management insists on its demand for transparency. The black-and-white club once again addressed the federation via its social media accounts, requesting that the camera footage from the VAR room and its corridors in Riva be shared with the public.
In the latest post made on social media with the hashtag "#KayıtlarNeredeTFF" (#WhereAreTheRecordingsTFF), Beşiktaş reminded the federation of the questions and expectations it had raised the previous day. The club emphasized its demand for a clear explanation, particularly regarding who was present in the VAR center during the Galatasaray derby and whether the Portuguese VAR instructors were in the room during the match.
In its previous statement, Beşiktaş had used the following expressions:
"Our Open Call to the Turkish Football Federation
We urgently demand that the Turkish Football Federation answer our questions below regarding what happened at the VAR center in Riva during our match against Galatasaray in the Trendyol Süper Lig.
Who is present in and around the VAR center, and are there any camera(s) that record the VAR room and the corridor where the room is located with audio?
Are the Portuguese VAR instructors present in the VAR room during the match? If they are in the VAR room, are they involved in the decision-making processes?
Do the Portuguese instructors, who are said to be working under the title of instructor, have any duties at the federation that require them to be there during the match?
Are there any person or persons in the VAR center or in the corridor who should not be there while the match is being played?
It is essential that the Turkish Football Federation management, which took office with a promise of transparent and fair administration, answers our questions immediately.
As Beşiktaş JK, we demand that the camera recordings of the VAR room and the corridor where the room is located for the match we played against Galatasaray be shared with us, and we submit this request to the information of the public, especially the Turkish Football Federation.
Beşiktaş JK"
