Extraordinary salary raise offer from Galatasaray to Barış Alper Yılmaz
Galatasaray has offered a 150% increase in the current salary of national football player Barış Alper Yılmaz, whose transfer to the Saudi Arabian club NEOM was blocked by the team.
It was learned that NEOM had offered Galatasaray a transfer fee of 40 million euros plus a 10% share of any future sale, but the yellow-red team unexpectedly rejected this offer.
A major crisis occurred when the Galatasaray management did not allow the national player to leave; Barış Alper did not attend training sessions and was subsequently left out of the squad for the Kayseri and Rizespor matches.
Galatasaray, which is preparing to make a significant raise in the salary of Barış Alper Yılmaz—who is said to have been persuaded to stay with the team following a meeting with President Dursun Özbek—has presented its first offer.
APPROXIMATELY 2.5 TIMES THE CURRENT SALARY
According to the report by Yağız Sabuncuoğlu; Galatasaray has offered Barış Alper Yılmaz an annual net salary of 5 million euros.
Barış Alper Yılmaz, who earns 2 million euros annually at the yellow-red team, will receive a 150% raise and earn approximately 2.5 times his current salary if he accepts the offer.
Negotiations between the two parties are ongoing.
