Allegations of‘black market tickets’ at Galatasaray Sports Club have become a major topic in the sports community.

Regarding the matter, Galatasaray General Secretary Eray Yazgan made statements.

Speaking to Milliyet, Speaking on the matter, Yazgan stated that they are taking steps to prevent black market sales.

"We have taken action to have an independent audit firm conduct an investigation into irregularities," said Yazgan, continuing as follows:

"We have made new requests for the completion of improvement works on the online ticket sales system that we requested from Passo last season, and for the system to be improved through all necessary tests. We have taken measures to systematically prevent black market sales by allowing season ticket holders to designate three slots for unlimited transfer transactions throughout the season. We will clarify this issue that everyone is curious about and ease the public conscience."

Yazgan used the following expressions: "Let everyone know that I have stood tall against anyone who has attempted to covet even a single penny of Galatasaray's money, and I will always continue to do so." he added.

"I HAVE NOT TAKEN A PATH THAT WOULD NOT SERVE GALATASARAY'S INTERESTS"

"If you had known about these events beforehand, would you still have taken on this duty?" In response to the question, Yazgan said, "I would not even hesitate; I would seek the same position again if it were to happen again. I have been part of this community since 1985. I grew up and matured with the ethical values and principles of Galatasaray. I have not for a single moment strayed onto a path that would not serve the interests of Galatasaray. Galatasaray, which I love with all my heart, is my life, my blood, my soul, a member of my family. Would a person harm the one they love most? Would they ever even think of it?" he said.

STATEMENT ON ERDEN TİMUR

Responding to claims linking his situation to the departure of Erden Timur, Yazgan said, "Dear Erden Timur himself will confirm; I personally had a role in his inclusion in our management during the last term, but I had no part in his departure. He chose not to be on the Board of Directors list during the first election period, but he performed his duties as Deputy Chairman of Galatasaray Sportif AŞ in the best possible way with great dedication. Sometimes we defended things with the same determination, and sometimes we had disagreements, but we never turned our backs on each other. Galatasaray always needs a person like Erden Timur. There is no problem between us; moreover, we still meet frequently to exchange ideas, and thank goodness, he is always by my side whenever I need him." he concluded.
