Joint request to TFF from Fenerbahçe, Trabzonspor, and Beşiktaş
Fenerbahçe, Trabzonspor, and Beşiktaş, which will play in European cup play-off matches, will request a postponement for their matches in the 2nd week of the Süper Lig.
Fenerbahçe, Trabzonspor, and Beşiktaş, representing Turkey in European cups, are preparing to apply to the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) for the postponement of their matches in the 2nd week of the Süper Lig.
According to the report in Ajansspor, the reason for the 3 clubs' request is the short time between their European play-off matches and the league fixture matches. It was stated that the applications are expected to be submitted to the TFF today.
Fenerbahçe will face the French team Olympique Lyon in the UEFA Champions League play-off round. Trabzonspor will take the field against the Hungarian representative Ferencvaros, and Beşiktaş against the Lithuanian team Kauno Zalgiris in the UEFA Europa League play-off round.
Within the scope of the postponement request, it will be requested that the Süper Lig 2nd week matches, where Fenerbahçe will play Konyaspor, Trabzonspor will play Başakşehir, and Beşiktaş will play Alanyaspor, be moved to a later date.
The yellow-navy blues will play their first match in Europe on August 18. The first play-off matches for Trabzonspor and Beşiktaş will be played on August 20. Following the applications, all eyes have turned to the decision to be made by the TFF.
If the federation accepts the request, the new dates for the Süper Lig matches in question will be determined later.
