Sallai, signed by Galatasaray, arrives in Istanbul
Hungarian footballer Roland Sallai, whom Galatasaray added to its squad from the German Bundesliga team Freiburg, has arrived in Istanbul. Galatasaray has reported the details of Sallai's transfer to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP).
On the final day of the transfer window, Galatasaray, seeking reinforcements for the wing position, has signed a contract with Hungarian footballer Roland Sallai, who played for the German Bundesliga side Freiburg.
The 29-year-old winger, who landed at Istanbul Atatürk Airport on a private jet, later left the airport in a vehicle waiting for him. A four-year agreement has been reached with Roland Sallai, whose license has been issued.
Galatasaray Club made the following statement to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) regarding the transfer of Roland Sallai:
"An agreement has been reached with professional footballer Roland Sallai and his club, Sport-Club Freiburg e.V., regarding the player's transfer.
Accordingly, a transfer fee of 6,000,000 EUR will be paid to the footballer's former club in 4 installments spread over 4 seasons.
An agreement has been reached with the footballer for 4 seasons, starting from the 2024-2025 season, and a net annual salary of 2,500,000 EUR will be paid for each football season."
Roland Sallai, whom Freiburg transferred from APOEL Nicosia for 4.5 million Euros in 2018, contributed 8 goals and 4 assists in 37 official matches last season.
