The Sultans of the Net look to continue their winning streak against China
Our National Women's Volleyball Team will face China in their fourth match of the 2025 Volleyball Nations League.
Having made a successful start in the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Nations League (VNL), the Sultans of the Net have drawn attention by winning all three matches they have played so far. Our national team, which defeated France 3-1 in the first match, followed by Thailand 3-0 and finally Poland 3-2, will face host China in their fourth match.
The Turkey-China match will begin today at 14:30 and can be watched live on TRT Spor. Following this important encounter, the Sultans of the Net will return to Istanbul for their second-week matches.
In the second-week matches to be played in Istanbul, Turkey will face the Dominican Republic on June 18, Canada on June 19, South Korea on June 21, and Brazil on June 22. The third week will take place in Apeldoorn, Netherlands, where they will compete against the Netherlands, Czechia, Italy, and Serbia.
The players in the Sultans of the Net's first-week squad include setters Elif Şahin and Dilay Özdemir, opposite hitter Aleksia Karutasu, outside hitters Hande Baladın, Derya Cebecioğlu, Ayşe Çürük, Meliha Diken, Yaprak Erkek, and Saliha Şahin, middle blockers Ayçin Akyol, Buse Berka Özden, Deniz Uyanık, and Aslı Kalaç, and liberos Simge Aköz and Eylül Akarçeşme Yatgın.
Our team is expected to continue its winning streak against China and maintain its contention in the VNL.
