The surprise of the night in the Champions League came from Bodo/Glimt

In the UEFA Champions League play-off second leg, Bodo/Glimt visited Italian giant Inter at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium. Having gained an advantage by defeating their opponent 3-1 in the first 90 minutes, the Norwegian team also secured a 2-1 victory in the return leg, successfully advancing to the next round with a 5-2 aggregate score.

While the first half of the match ended goalless, the Norwegian side took control of the game in the second half. In the 58th minute, Jens Petter Hauge scored the goal that put Bodo/Glimt ahead. Fourteen minutes after the goal, Hakon Evjen extended the lead to two. Although Inter tried to find hope with Alessandro Bastoni's goal in the 76th minute, there were no further goals in the remaining minutes.

This victory marks a first in the club's history for Bodo/Glimt. Competing in the Champions League for the first time, the yellow-blacks have managed to write their name into the Round of 16.

The Norwegian team will face either Manchester City or Sporting in this stage of the tournament. The draw to determine the Round of 16 matchups in the Champions League will take place on Friday, February 27, at 14:00 in Nyon, Switzerland.
