Trabzonspor notifies KAP of four transfers

Trabzonspor has notified the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) that it has added four players to its squad as part of its new season restructuring. The burgundy-blue club announced that it has reached agreements with Melih Kabasakal, Samet Akaydin, Metehan Mimaroğlu, and Thierry Darnel Karadeniz.

According to the statement sent to Borsa Istanbul by Trabzonspor Sportif Yatırım ve Futbol İşletmeciliği Ticaret AŞ, an agreement has been reached with Gaziantep FK for the permanent transfer of 30-year-old midfielder Melih Kabasakal. The club will pay Gaziantep FK a contract termination fee of 22 million 500 thousand liras, including VAT, in three installments.

A 2+1 year contract was signed with Melih Kabasakal, with the option right belonging to Trabzonspor. The player will be paid a guaranteed salary of 30 million 575 thousand liras for the 2026/2027 season and 37 million 628 thousand liras for the 2027/2028 season. If the option is exercised, the guaranteed salary for the 2028/2029 season will be 43 million 672 thousand 500 liras.

CONTRACT DETAILS

A 2+1 year agreement was also reached with national defender Samet Akaydin, who was a free agent. The 32-year-old player will be paid a guaranteed salary of 43 million 500 thousand liras for the 2026/2027 season and 53 million 875 thousand liras for the 2027/2028 season. If Trabzonspor exercises its option, Akaydin will receive a guaranteed salary of 60 million 100 thousand liras for the 2028/2029 season. The statement noted that the agency service fee will be 4.6 percent of the gross salary to be paid to the player.

The burgundy-blues signed a 1+1 year contract with free-agent left winger Metehan Mimaroğlu. According to the agreement, the player will be paid a guaranteed salary of 27 million liras for the 2026/2027 season. If the option is exercised, the guaranteed salary for the 2027/2028 season will be 35 million liras.
