FISH AND CHIPS INGREDIENTS

400 grams of haddock fillet
2 medium-sized potatoes

For the batter:

1 cup of flour
Half a cup of cornstarch
2 eggs
1 cup of mineral water
Half a cup of milk
Half a teaspoon of salt
Half a teaspoon of black pepper

For frying:

2 cups of sunflower oil

For the tartar sauce:

4 tablespoons of strained yogurt
2 tablespoons of mayonnaise
4 gherkin pickles
1 tablespoon of capers
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
1/4 bunch of dill
1/4 teaspoon of salt

HOW TO MAKE FISH AND CHIPS

Mix the chilled flour, cornstarch, eggs, mineral water, milk, salt, and black pepper in a bowl until smooth.
Cut the haddock fillets, from which you have removed the skin and bones, into finger-sized strips or leave them as slices.
Peel the potatoes, cut them into finger shapes, rinse them in plenty of water, and dry them with a paper towel.
Heat the sunflower oil in two separate pans.
After coating the haddock fillets in the prepared batter, fry them in the hot oil, turning them over to cook both sides.
Add the finger-cut potatoes to the hot oil and fry them, stirring occasionally, until they turn golden yellow.
Place the fried fish and potatoes on a paper towel and let them rest for 2-3 minutes to drain the excess oil.
