AJet flight to Tehran makes emergency landing in Ankara!
An AJet aircraft traveling from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen to Tehran issued an emergency code while in Kırşehir airspace and was diverted to Ankara Esenboğa Airport. The cause of the emergency has not yet been disclosed.
A Boeing 737 aircraft operated by AJet Airlines, performing flight VF183 from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen to Tehran, initiated emergency procedures while over the skies of Kırşehir during the flight.
The cockpit crew activated the 7700 transponder code to notify air traffic control of the situation.
Following the development, the aircraft changed its route and landed safely at Ankara Esenboğa Airport.
Authorities stated that the reason for the pilots declaring an emergency has not yet been clarified. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
