A balcony of an apartment on the 5th floor of a building located on Melih Cevdet Anday Street in the Dumlupınar neighborhood of Istanbul's Kadıköy district has collapsed.
Upon notification of the situation, police, fire, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
While no one was injured in the incident, a parked car sustained damage due to the falling debris.
It was learned that a decision on whether to seal the building, which was completely evacuated as a precaution, will be made following an inspection by experts.
Meanwhile, Hakan Cevahir, who lives across from the apartment building where the incident occurred, stated that they felt a tremor around 23:00, followed by a loud noise outside, and upon looking out the window, they saw that the balcony of the building opposite had collapsed.
