Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed the law ratifying the strategic partnership agreement signed with Iran, taking cooperation between Moscow and Tehran to a new level. The agreement aims to recognize the two countries as strategic partners and to further strengthen their cooperation in the long term.
The agreement covers many areas, including defense, counter-terrorism, energy, finance, transport, industry, agriculture, science, culture, and technology. Signed during Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian's visit to Moscow in January, this agreement will contribute to the deepening of relations between the two countries.
Key provisions of the agreement include increasing trade and economic relations, organizing joint military exercises, and security guarantees. Furthermore, the parties will cooperate in the fight against international terrorism and adopt a joint stance against separatist movements.
