University students Jevon Hirst, Harvey Owen, Wilf Henderson, and Hugo Morris, aged between 16 and 18, had traveled to Snowdonia (Eryri), where they planned to go camping over the weekend. They were last seen on Sunday morning in a silver Ford Fiesta, and their families raised the alarm when the group failed to return to their homes in Shrewsbury on Monday.

Welsh police had launched a search operation for the teenagers. Following a tip-off from a member of the public, they found an overturned car partially submerged in water about 8 kilometers from where the group was last seen two days ago.

In a statement, the police confirmed that they had recovered the bodies of Jevon Hirst, Harvey Owen, Wilf Henderson, and Hugo Morris.

It is believed that the car was involved in an accident on the A4085 road in Garreg, near Tremadog. Welsh police stated that investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances that caused the car to leave the road.
