Kosovo celebrates the 16th anniversary of its independence
Kosovo, the youngest country in Europe, which unilaterally declared its independence from Serbia on February 17, 2008, is celebrating the 16th anniversary of its independence.
Enis Kervan, who signed the Kosovo declaration of independence on February 17, 2008, and is still a member of parliament for the Kosovo Democratic Turkish Party (KDTP) in the Assembly of Kosovo, celebrated the independence day of all the people of Kosovo.
Kervan said, "We are, of course, very happy on the 16th anniversary of the founding of our republic. For me, this is also an honor, because I have lived with both the responsibility and the excitement of being one of the Turkish members of parliament who signed the declaration of independence for years.
We will continue to advance on the paths of our existence in Kosovo and of announcing our existence outside of Kosovo; I invite all our citizens to celebrate our independence day with enthusiasm," he said.
