Netanyahu: No ceasefire in Lebanon

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a video message following reports that he had instructed his cabinet to begin direct negotiations with Lebanon.

Addressing those living near Israel's border with Lebanon, Netanyahu said, "There is no ceasefire in Lebanon; we will continue to strike Hezbollah with full force and will not stop until we have restored our security."

Touching upon the attacks against Iran, Netanyahu stated, "The significant successes we have achieved in Iran and against the axis of evil have brought about a historic transformation in Israel's position in the region.

These successes have also paved the way for the development of our ties with countries with which we previously had no relations."

Netanyahu explained that the direct negotiations to be conducted with Lebanon would proceed toward two goals: the disarmament of Hezbollah and the signing of a historic and lasting peace agreement between Israel and Lebanon.
