Israel has once again targeted Lebanon despite the ongoing ceasefire.

In a statement from the Lebanese Ministry of Health, it was reported that Israel carried out an airstrike on the town of Deir Qanoun En-Nahr in the city of Tyre, stating, "According to initial assessments, at least 10 people, including 3 women and 3 children, have lost their lives in the attack, and 3 others, including 1 child, have been injured."

While the Lebanese Ministry of Health described the attack as a "massacre," there has been no statement from the Israeli military regarding the matter.

Ceasefire extended for another 45 days

US President Donald Trump announced the 10-day ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon on April 17, and the ceasefire was later extended until May 17. In a statement made by the US Department of State on May 15, it was noted that the Israel-Lebanon talks were "extremely productive" and it was stated that "the ceasefire reached on April 17 will be extended for 45 days to allow for further progress."
