Saudi Arabia announces 3 UAVs were shot down
Three unmanned aerial vehicles that violated Saudi Arabia's airspace were neutralized by the country's air defense systems.
In a statement issued by the Saudi Ministry of Defense, it was reported that three UAVs coming from the direction of Iraq were detected in the country's airspace and destroyed. According to information provided by Ministry Spokesperson Major General Turki al-Maliki, the incident took place on Sunday morning.
Major General al-Maliki stated that measures taken against such attack attempts that endanger national security will continue. In his statement, the spokesperson included the words, "The Ministry of Defense reserves the right to respond to this attack attempt at the appropriate time and place."
The spokesperson also emphasized that operational measures will be taken against any threat to Saudi Arabia's sovereignty, security, and the safety of its citizens as well as foreigners residing in the country.
