TWO PEOPLE INJURED
Israel's emergency service, Magen David Adom (MDA), announced that 2 people were injured in the attack. It was reported that one of the injured was wounded by shrapnel or the blast effect, while the other person was taken under treatment due to suffering from severe anxiety.
SMOKE ROSE NEAR THE TERMINAL
In images reflected on social media, dense smoke was seen rising near the Ramon Airport passenger terminal. Eyewitnesses reported that there was brief panic in the area following the explosion.
AIRPORT CLOSED
The Israel Airports Authority announced that the airspace over Ramon Airport was completely closed following the attack. Officials stated that flights were suspended for security reasons.
ISRAELI ARMY SHOT DOWN 3 UAVS
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that a total of 3 unmanned aerial vehicles launched from Yemen were shot down by air defense systems. However, one of the UAVs involved in the attack reached Ramon Airport and caused damage.
