The world is talking about this fortune: Record after record from Elon Musk

Current data from Forbes has revealed an unprecedented increase in Elon Musk's wealth. The renowned entrepreneur has officially become the first person to surpass the $600 billion mark in net worth.

SPACEX SENT WEALTH SOARING

It is stated that the latest surge in Musk's wealth was driven by expectations that his space company, SpaceX, could go public at a valuation of approximately $800 billion. Musk is reported to hold a roughly 42 percent stake in SpaceX, with this development alone contributing $168 billion to his fortune. Forbes reported that with this increase, Musk's total net worth has reached approximately $677 billion.

HISTORIC GAP WITH COMPETITORS

With this rise, Musk has solidified his lead on the list of the world's wealthiest people by a wide margin. The wealth gap between him and second-place Larry Page has widened to approximately $425 billion. The fact that Musk is only $23 billion away from the $700 billion threshold suggests that a new record is on the horizon.

TESLA AND ROBOTAXI EFFECT

A significant portion of Musk's total wealth comes from his approximately 12 percent stake in Tesla. Despite a slowdown in sales, Tesla shares have gained 13 percent in value since the beginning of the year, and shares rose by approximately 4 percent on Monday following the announcement of driverless robotaxi tests.

TRILLION-DOLLAR PAY PACKAGE AND XAI MOVE

In November, Tesla shareholders approved a $1 trillion pay package for Musk. Meanwhile, it is reported that Musk's artificial intelligence startup, xAI, is in advanced talks for a new $15 billion capital raise at a valuation of approximately $230 billion.
