Truck queue at the Iranian border reaches 15 kilometers
Due to systemic issues on the Iranian side that have persisted for days, a 15-kilometer-long queue of trucks has formed at the Esendere Customs Gate in the Yüksekova district of Hakkari.
The queue formed by trucks waiting at the Esendere Border Gate has reached approximately 15 kilometers.
Truck drivers are waiting in line to cross from the Esendere Border Gate into Iran to deliver their cargo.
'THEY HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR DAYS'
Stating that a 15-kilometer truck queue has formed, Bahri Tekin said, "While we were traveling from Esendere to Yüksekova around noon, there was a truck queue that exceeded 15 kilometers. When we asked, we were told it was caused by the Iranian side.
I hope this ordeal ends soon and everyone can continue on their way. Otherwise, they have been waiting here for days," he said.
