High-level meeting between Iran and Syria
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian met with President Bashar al-Assad in the Syrian capital, Damascus.
According to the official Syrian news agency SANA, Iranian Foreign Minister Abdollahian paid a visit to Damascus.
Following his meeting with regime leader Bashar al-Assad, Abdollahian held a joint press conference with Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad.
The meeting addressed Israel's attacks on Syrian territory and developments in the region.
REMINDER OF SIGNIFICANT PROGRESS
In his speech at the meeting, Abdollahian stated, "The two countries have the will to make significant progress in cooperation across various economic, commercial, and industrial fields."
Minister Abdollahian noted that Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has invited Syrian regime leader Bashar al-Assad to Iran.
