UK opens its doors to healthcare workers!

The UK has increased the number of visas issued to foreign migrants who will work in the healthcare sector. There has been a significant rise in visas issued under the "Skilled Worker - Health and Care" route.

INFLUX OF FOREIGN WORKERS INTO THE HEALTHCARE SECTOR

According to data published by the British government, the number of visas issued to foreign migrants coming to the country to work in the health and care sector was nearly doubled last year. Visas issued in the "Skilled Worker - Health and Care" category reached 146,477, marking a 91 percent increase.

VISA OPPORTUNITIES FOR FAMILY MEMBERS AS WELL

These visas cover not only individuals who will work in the health and care sector but also their dependent family members. In this context, it was recorded that a total of 279,131 visas were issued to the family members of health and care workers.

TIGHTENING OF VISA CONDITIONS

The Sunak government moved to tighten visa policies towards the end of last year in an effort to control the rise in the number of migrants. The newly announced regulations include higher salary thresholds and restrictions on bringing family members into the country. These steps are considered part of the government's effort to reduce the number of migrants.
