US military strikes 140 military targets in Iran

The US military has announced that the latest wave of strikes against Iran has been completed. In a statement from CENTCOM, it was recalled that Iran had been targeted for the third time this week due to its attacks on commercial vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz, and it was stated, "US forces struck approximately 140 Iranian military targets with precision-guided munitions launched by land- and sea-based fighter jets, UAVs, and naval assets. The targets included Iranian missile and UAV sites, maritime capabilities, ammunition storage facilities, communication networks, and coastal surveillance points."

"OVER 300 TARGETS STRUCK IN THREE WAVES OF ATTACKS"

The statement, which noted that CENTCOM had struck a total of more than 300 Iranian targets in three waves of attacks carried out this week, emphasized that these operations were intended to ensure the safety of commercial vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz. It was reported that commercial vessels continue to transit the Strait of Hormuz, and it was stated, "Since the beginning of May, US forces have assisted in the safe passage of more than 800 commercial vessels and 400 million barrels of crude oil through the Strait of Hormuz."

US HAD TARGETED IRAN ONCE AGAIN

In a statement made earlier in the day by CENTCOM, it was reported that the third wave of attacks against Iran this week had been launched in retaliation for Iran's attacks on commercial vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Following the developments, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bahrain, which host US military assets, announced that they had been the targets of new missile and UAV attacks.
